Dear Families,
We took our spelling test this morning.
We read a Scholastic News about a family of ducks that live in a school.
We noticed it was a teaching story which is different than the realistic fiction stories we are writing in writing workshop.
We talked about our new math unit over addition and subtraction to 40.
We went to PE.
We ended the day in Hootenanny!
Have a great weekend!

Note:
Please start returning Traveling Teddy to school next week in his bag. We will do some end of the year activities in class with him! Thank you so much for your involvement in this NPE tradition!

We started our morning in the Tech Lab!
We drew conclusions as we read the story Mole and the Baby Bird and put events in the correct order.
We went to Music!
We practiced comparing numbers to 40 and completing number patterns. 
We started our science unit on States of Matter with Mrs. Martorelli today.

Wear sneakers tomorrow for our mini Relay for Life in the afternoon.

Note:
As an early Spring Break "surprise", I made math homework tonight optional. Some of the kids wanted it for the challenge. If you see no math homework in your child's folder, they chose not to get it. Web books and spelling homework was still assigned.
